ACUTE SERVICESBROWNELL STREET PROGRAM
The Brownell Street Program, a supportive housing program for the forensic mental health population, promotes independent living with on-site case management services that are used to assist clients in the recovery process, as well as social re-integration. The program provides a variety of services including: money management, leisure activities and various psychosocial groups, coordination of medical, legal and psychiatric appointments and entitlement case work. Staff engages in on-going collaboration with client's clinicians, as well as, probation and parole officers in the Greater New Haven Area.
Key Components are:
- 12-hour staffing;
- Capacity for 7 on-site and 20 scatter site residents;
- Group and Individual Programming;
- Peer Support Services; and
- On going treatment collaboration with area providers.
