DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY PROGRAMSSupportive Living Programs

Individualized Services for Independent Living

Clients who participate in Continuum's Supported Living Programs reside in apartments either alone or with roommates, in cluster-settings and with families in locations ranging from Fairfield to Meriden. These apartment settings are either owned by Continuum of Care or rented from private property owners. Staffing is based on individual needs and level of independence. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all individuals are given an opportunity to voice their desires and develop the skills necessary to optimize their quality of life. Developmentally disabled clients who may have a coexisting psychiatric disability are provided with personalized program planning to meet their specialized needs. Residential program staff members routinely collaborate with community treatment providers.
