Continuum of Care, Inc. awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, also known as CARF International announced that Continuum of Care, Inc. of New Haven CT has been awarded accreditation for a period of three years for its Mental Health Crisis Stabilization, Community Housing, and Supported Living programs.  This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Continuum of Care, Inc. 

In the words of CARF International, "Continuum of Care has established itself as a community leader working in a highly collaborative manner with other key stakeholders to meet community needs, developing innovative solutions and care delivery models for addressing needs of persons served."

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. This accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.  For more information about the accreditation process, please visit the CARF website at www.carf.org

Continuum of Care, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with its administrative office located at 67 Trumbull Street, New Haven CT.   Continuum has been providing comprehensive community-based residential support and services in the Greater New Haven area since 1966.  Today, services have expanded throughout Connecticut including the towns of Bridgeport, Meriden, Middletown, Plantsville, Southington, and Wolcott providing housing, crisis, and in-home support services to more than 800 individuals annually.
