Rachel Maguire, APRN, PMHNP-BC Assistant Chief of Behavioral Health
Rachel Maguire has been employed with Continuum of Care since 2021 as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and began as a clinical APRN intern in 2019. Since then, Rachel has become Psychiatric Lead and now Assistant Chief of Behavioral Health.
Rachel now oversees the outpatient behavioral health clinic as well as the nursing department and clinical services within the programs.
Rachel has worked to integrate clinical services within MHS programs and aid in program development with YAS and DMHAS. She has worked with the Crisis and Emergency Response Services department to establish outpatient clinical services accessible to those in crisis within the community to avoid hospitalization.
Under the guidance of Dr. John Cahill, she has developed valuable knowledge and skills to continue to serve those struggling with mental illness and substance use.
Rachel obtained her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Marist College and then proceeded to obtain her Registered Nurse license from Yale University. She also graduated from Yale University School of Nursing in 2021 with her Masters in Psychiatric Nursing. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through ANCC.
